Real Time Self-Assessment

Real Time Self-Assessment is a mechanism to raise quality and speed up improvement whist reducing bureaucracy and working smarter.

Reasons for attending this programme:
The current model of self-assessment is a good vehicle for helping teams to reflect on their strengths and areas for improvement; however, it is also bureaucratic, ineffective and happens too late after events have taken place to be a real driver of improvement. The aim is to move to Real Time Self-Assessment and away from the production of a cumbersome, infrequently used, historically based annual self -assessment report and associated action plan.
What is the training about?
The day focuses on exploring ‘Real Time Self-Assessment’ a mechanism to promptly escalate quality, raise success rates and drive improvement to the student experience whilst reducing bureaucracy and focussing energy where it will have the most impact - on priorities. Real Time SAR results in immediate, continuous, improvement focussed on key priorities along the whole student journey to maximise student progress.

Explore the focus of the new common inspection framework
Learn ways to reduce bureaucracy and increase efficiency
Analyse the student journey and identify priorities which impact most significantly on student success
Speed up the process of bringing about improvement
Get rid of the burden of the annual SAR
